A regular bank transfer is the easiest and most reliable way for us to budget and is the method we recommend.
We're working on a platform that will allow you to give via text message directly from your bank account. We'll update this section as that progresses.
CASH & CHECKS
You can always give by cash or check. We have a collection box and offering time during the service, or you can post your gift to

WHAT HAPPENS TO THE MONEY I GIVE?
Your generosity allows us to fulfill the mission that God has placed on our hearts for this community, and that mission is to tell as many people about Him as possible. We do this through our services on Sunday, outreach events, group activities, and a host of other things that help us have an audience with those we are most trying to reach. Your gifts go towards the costs associated with those things such as building rent, support people, supplies, equipment, kids ministry, etc. None of these things can happen apart from your generous gifts.
WHO DECIDES HOW THE MONEY IS SPENT?
The pastor, under the supervision of a governing board and with input from the congregation, identifies needs and areas of ministry that the church can effectively meet. A budget is developed every fiscal year and, like all responsible organizations, we strive to live within our means. We believe that God is honored when we are responsible with what He has given us. Just as we stress individual stewardship, we believe in corporate stewardship as well. A portion of our budget is dedicated to supporting like-minded organizations and churches outside our walls.
IS IT SECURE TO GIVE ONLINE AND IS THERE FINANCIAL ACCOUNTABILITY?
Giving on-line is the most secure method of giving. Setting up a bank transfer ensures that you have control over when your money is moved and there is not the possibility of a lost check or lack of paper trail. Banks in New Zealand have excellent financial systems and are generally quick to put safeguards in place. Peninsula Community Church is registered with the Charities Commission in New Zealand, employs a bookkeeper, and submits to a yearly audit. We believe that a big part of financial integrity is transparency.
DO I GET A TAX CREDIT FOR DONATIONS?
Yes, you are entitled to receive back a percentage of all charitable giving from the IRD. When you set up a bank transfer, write a check, or use our provided offering envelopes for cash donations, you are insuring that you receive proper year end credit for your donation.
