God the Father
The one true God has revealed Himself as the eternally self-existent, self-revealed
I AM, and has further revealed Himself as embodying the principles of
relationship and association (ie: as Father, Son and Holy Spirit). Deut 6:4; Mark 12:29;
Isaiah 43:10; Matthew 29:19. We believe that God made us, loves us and has good plans for
us. He longs for us to know Him as a gracious heavenly Father, bringing security,
provision, discipline and purpose into our lives.
God the Son
Jesus Christ is Gods only begotten eternal Son. Perfectly showing us Gods
nature and character. Whoever has seen me, has seen the Father. (John 14:9) It
is only through the Lord Jesus Christ that we can know God personally. I am the Way,
the Truth and the Life. Jesus said, No one comes to the Father except by
Me. (John 14:6) This process of reconciliation with God has been made possible by
the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, providing forgiveness of sin and enabling us
to be made into the children of God.
God the Holy
Spirit
He is given to us by the Father and the Son to make Gods truth live in our
experience. Without the dynamic presence of the Holy Spirit, all religious exercises would
be empty dogma and ritual. He comes to us today as He did to the early church on the day
of Pentecost, to teach, inspire and strengthen us in our Christian lives. We believe in
the fruits of the Spirit and the gifts of the Spirit as experienced in the 1st. century
church. Acts 1:8; 2:4,42-43; 10:44-46; 19:2,6; 1 Corinthians 12 & 14; Galatians
5:22,23
The Bible
is the inspired Word of God: A revelation from God to man, the infallible rule of
faith and conduct, and is superior to conscience and reason, but not contrary to reason. 2
Timothy 3:15-17; 1 Peter 1:23-25; Hebrews 4:12 The Bible remains Gods Word to this
generation and is the key to understanding Gods will for our lives. Your word
is a lamp to guide me and a light for my path. (Psalm 119:105) We place a strong
emphasis on teaching the practical relevance of the Bible in all aspects of daily living.
The Church
is the Body of Christ, the habitation of God through the Holy Spirit, with Divine
appointments for the fulfillment of her great commission. The true Church is comprised of
all peoples throughout the world who have received Jesus Christ as Savior. The local
church is one expression of that greater Body. Ephesians 1:22; 2:10-22; Hebrews 12:23. The
procedure for becoming a committed member of Peninsula Christian Center can be explained
to you by a Pastor or Elder. Please feel free to inquire.
